From the period of 2013-2016, the Edmonton-based producer & Kudatah co-founder, Sven K, was making nearly 1 to 3 songs per day at home & our label's first proper shared studio, well before Kudatah had even been considered as an idea. It’s no surprise to find that their has been quite a few rare gems forgotten about or lost to random old hard drives, laptops & USBs. However, with the free time we had last year, we managed to recover and remaster a substantial amount of those dance-floor tools, eerie psychedelic soundscapes & melancholic electronica pieces crafted during that time.
We are excited to present 'Classics', a newly unearthed early body of work from Sven K. Let these 11 "classic" tracks transport you back to this recent time period and provide a fascinating insight to how Sven K's sound has developed in the intervening years since.

The sort of music that is beyond time. The sort of music that you feel more than you hear. I love the fact that vaporwave/dreampunk projects like these have such extremely evocative aesthetics they directly fill your mind with sensations you didn't know you had. You'd maybe think it relies on that solely, but it's coupled with gorgeous musicianship + intense production ideas. The volume and spaces it creates just pull you in instantly whatever your initial mood was. Still stunning to this day.
